This series of photographs is a meditation on the obscurity of substance abuse and its fatal effect on people and their families. Every year, I consciously decide to start the year "dry" to cleanse and restart. The pictures were created during those days in an indoor studio using natural light and reflective surfaces. No post-editing applied.
